Animal Health Investment Europe: Showcase Innovation Winners Announced

The winners of the Animal Health Investment Europe Innovation Showcase were announced during the event in London, 24-26 February 2020. The premier investment forum showcases the most exciting innovation in animal health and nutrition, connecting emerging companies with financial investors and strategic corporate partners.

This year, the 20 presenting companies were split into two distinguishable sections that ran across the show: companion animal & pet care space and the production animal & animal agri-tech space.

Phil Whiting, CEO and Ricky Goshal, VP Business Development, Glysantis

PetBioCell won in companion animal & pet care and Glysantis won in production animal & animal agri-tech.

PetBioCell offers personalised GMP-grade (good manufacturing process) cell therapies for dogs, cats and horses to treat cancer and auto-immune diseases. Altering cells from the animal itself in the lab, and re-injecting these, it is possible to achieve a high efficacy of the products with very few side effects. They are easy to use and support the target animal directly.

GlysantisTM is a biotechnology company active in pre-clinical research and development of an innovative nanoparticle platform technology with a wide range of biomedical applications – NanoDendrixTM. They have developed the ability to dramatically up-regulate the innate immune response, leading to potential anti-viral and anti-bacterial applications. They are currently focused on the aquaculture and poultry industries. For more information, click here.
