Dave Cook, PhD

Dave Cook is a steadfast and dynamic force in animal agriculture with over three decades of experience shaping the livestock and aquaculture industries. Based in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Dave’s career is a testament to his passion for innovation, leadership, and problem-solving.

As a former External Innovation and R&D Director at Cargill, Dave spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives in aqua nutrition, forging key technology partnerships and driving advancements in salmon and shrimp health. His tenure as R&D Director for Animal Nutrition saw him masterfully integrating global talent and assets, while his role as Global Technology Director involved orchestrating partnerships across continents.

Dave is currently a consultant and a proud board member of Natural Products Canada, lending his industry insight to the organization and its many members.

Dave holds a PhD in Animal Nutrition from the University of Illinois, as well as nine patents, and is named on six additional applications.
