UPDATE: As of March 2nd, the organizers of Natural Products Expo West have postponed the event due to concerns over the coronavirus. Despite this unfortunate news, we want to continue to highlight the achievements of the Canadian companies who have achieved the following recognition. We will update this page when new information is available:
There are many Canadian companies taking part in Natural Product Expo West (NPEW), an annual industry tradeshow that attracts the biggest names in the business and over 100,000 delegates.
And we’re so proud to see many of them have made their way to the top of some highly competitive lists.
Finalists for the Nexty Awards, NPEW’s competition for innovative natural products, has at least three Canadian companies on the list, including:
- Crush and Brush – Nelson Naturals’ convenient and sustainable toothpaste tablets grabbed a spot in the Best New Personal Care or Beauty Product category
- Abeego – in Best New Natural Living category, Abeego’s organic, compostable beeswax food wrap helps consumers reduce food waste and single use plastics
- LOOP Mission – in the category of Best New Mission-Based Product, LOOP Mission’s juices are made from rescued fruits and vegetables
Two Canadian companies are also in the ten finalists to present at the 2020 Expo West Pitch Slam
- Scout will present the company’s sustainable, delicious and nutritious canned fish and seafood
- LOOP Mission will explain how repurposing imperfect fruits and vegetables creates value added products from juice to soaps
And finally, a Canadian award-winning, non-alcohol beer brand is one of seven companies (names are not published in advance) selected for the NCN All-Star Pitch Showcase.
NPC and a number of other organizations and agencies have collaborated to provide supports and services to help the companies make the most of this key gathering of the industry.
Congratulations to all these companies and the many more that are making Canada proud at NPEW!
