SRC Biotechnology Laboratories is an applied research, biomanufacturing and DNA testing laboratory. It enables and accelerates biotechnology innovation across Saskatchewan’s core resource sectors of mining, energy and agriculture. With world-class expertise and facilities, we deliver a broad portfolio of genomic, microbiology and biomanufacturing services. Areas of strategic focus for the team include biomining, crop protection, microbial enhanced oil recovery, bioremediation and bio-based specialty chemicals.

SRC and the National Research Council co-manage a fermentation plant, which offers clients contract biomanufacturing services that are uniquely well-positioned to support the commercial development of biotechnologies across Saskatchewan’s core resource sectors of mining, energy and agriculture.
