Canada has incredible potential to play a powerful role in the development of sustainable, natural solutions that can be applied to a broad range of sectors. Natural Products Canada (NPC) exists to help Canada realize that potential.

We are the driving force behind Canada’s Natural Product Innovation Cluster, providing support, guidance, introductions, programs and investment.

How We Support The Cluster

NPC designs all of its programs, services and initiatives to meet the needs of the members of the Cluster. 

Commercialization Programs

NPC offers strategic advice, guidance and programs to address key challenges of high-potential innovative natural products. This directly meets the needs of start-ups, SME and research institutes, but it also provides a steady pipeline of innovative opportunities to corporations and investors looking to build their portfolios in these areas.

Innovation Hub

NPC facilitates meaningful interactions and information-exchange between the various members of the Cluster through the Innovation Hub. NPC works with a range of partners to provide Investor Meetings, Virtual Pitch Events, Open Innovation Calls, Industry Reports, networking events, webinars, and more. 

Investment Fund

NPC recognizes the untapped potential in Canadian natural product innovations. It manages an investment fund dedicated to helping those opportunities meet their growth objectives. The NPC team and Board of Directors work to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each opportunity, and provide advice, introductions or program support to address and mitigate investment risk. NPC also works closely with Canadian and international investors to introduce these opportunities, and support them in their due diligence and de-risking, which may include co-investment where appropriate.

Cluster-Building Activities

Our Cluster-Building Activities tackle issues that impact multiple players, and require input from diverse stakeholders to produce coordinated results for a sector or subsector.
