Q: What’s the origin story behind Tempehine?
A: Tempehine began when founders, Jasmine and Sonel were looking for an excellent source of plant-based protein for their son who no longer wanted to eat meat.
Q: What’s the best thing anyone has said about your product so far?
A: “This is the best tempeh we have ever eaten in Canada.”
Q: What’s the most rewarding thing about building your company so far?
A: In addition to all of the appreciation from customers, we are thrilled to have received the silver medal from SIAL for ground tempeh innovation.
Q: What are the top 1-3 things that you’re focused on right now?
A: We are currently focused on launching our products in Ontario and British Columbia, and expanding our product offering to the food service industry.
Q: What is your key objective in attending CHFA?
A: We hope that CHFA will help us expand our network, specifically helping us find new distributors and food service clients.
